WILSON - Katherine Garris Carter, 84, died Thursday, April 28, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Carter, parents, Floyd and Eva Parrish Garris; sister, Eloise Taylor; brothers, Bill and Floyd Garris, Jr. Funeral, Sunday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughters, Kathie Kiefer (Eric) of Wilson and Lynn Whitley (Jimmy) of Stantonsburg; sons, Stanley Carter (Donna) of Wilson and Dennis Carter (Sandra) of Lucama; grandchildren, Eric Alan Kiefer, Emely Moore, Becky Carter, Anthony Moreira, Alicia Moreira- and Payton Carter; sister, Joyce Rowe of Stantonsburg; brothers, Glenn Garris of Stantonsburg, Johnny Garris of Wilson, Jimmy Garris of Sharpsburg and Bobby Garris of Garner and special friend, Barbara Aycock. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Saturday, 6 - 8 PM and other times at the homes of Lynn and Jimmy Whitley and Stanley and Donna Carter.
