WILSON - Katherine Kenny Boyette, 78, died Sunday, October 28, 2012.
Funeral, 2 PM, Wednesday, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr, followed by a time of visiting. Burial, Contentnea Primitive Baptist Church, Highway 42, West.
Mrs. Boyette attended Gardners School in Wilson County and was a member of Milbournie FWB Church. She retired in 1994 after 34 years of service with the Wilson County Tax Office. In retirement, she really enjoyed gardening and singing in the church choir.
Surviving is her husband, John W. "Bill" Boyette, whom she married in 1953; daughters, Becky Batchelor (Jeff) Wilson and Kathy Nelms (Michael) of Rocky Mount; son: Tommy Boyette (Lori) of Sims; grandchildren, Lauren Orvin, Clay Nelms, Emily Batchelor, Megan Bunn and Thomas Boyette; three great-grandchildren; daughter - in-law, Maggie Boyette of Smithfield; sister-in-law, Dorothy Boyette Joyner of Wilson; 11 nieces and nephews.
