WILSON - Joyce Wooten Brewer, 60, died Friday, June 3, 2016.
Funeral, Tuesday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. The visitation will be Monday, 6 - 8 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service.
For over forty years "Mama" was a loving, dedicated and gracious mother. The passion in her heart burned even brighter each time a grandchild was born. Mama strongly desired to leave a legacy for her children and grandchildren. With your blood pulsing through our veins, memories etched into our hearts, and the child of God testimony lived out in front of us, Mama, your legacy has become the greatest short story you have ever written. It was your life lived in example for us, and we will continue to share your story for the rest of our lives for generations to come until we join you in Heaven for eternity.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Harris (Clint) of New Bern and Melanie Taylor (Robbie) of Wilson; sons, Philip Brewer (Lindy) of Rocky Mount and Larry Brewer (Jamie) of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Tiffany Harris, Philip Brewer, Jr., Gavin Taylor, Rylan Brewer, Wyatt Taylor and Julianne Harris; sisters, Patricia Taylor and Carolyn Pierce of Wilson and several nieces and nephews.
