Joslyn Bass Hawkins, 45, entered eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 19, 2024. Joslyn found solace and strength in her faith and family. As a dedicated mother, she poured her heart and soul into her daughter, Leah.
Memorial Service, Thursday, February 22, 6:00 PM at Raleigh Road Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 4:00 PM.
Joslyn graduated from the class of 1996 at Beddingfield High School and completed her Child Psychology degree at East Carolina University. She was a dedicated employee of BB&T and Truist Bank for over 20 years.
Joslyn's favorite place to be was relaxing at the Pamlico River, where she found peace and joy around the water with family and friends. It was a true sanctuary where she felt close to God and family. She had a love for baseball and was a passionate fan of the Chicago Cubs. She cherished every moment cheering on her team and sharing that bond with her dad, brother, and daughter. One of her greatest joys and fulfillments was simply pouring out her love on children of all ages. Her compassionate heart for kids knew no bounds and her joy around children was contagious. She had a special way of connecting with them, bringing smiles and warmth to their hearts. Her nurturing spirit touched the lives of countless children. While all of these things brought her joy, nothing compared to the love and devotion she had for her daughter, Leah.
Joslyn's memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her unwavering love and warmth. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will shine bright through the lives she touched. May she find eternal peace and happiness in the embrace of her heavenly Father, surrounded by the love she so freely gave.
