WILSON - Johnny Mitchell Bowden, 71, died Friday, October 10, 2014.
A Celebration of Life will be Monday, 4:00 PM, First Baptist Church followed by visitation. The family will be at home all other times.
Johnny had worked at the former Wilson Clinic as lab manager and was a retired district operations manager with Lab Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Green Bowden; daughter, Michelle Anderson (Neal) of Wilson; sons, Mitch Bowden (Valerie) and Michael Bowden (Jennifer) of Winnabow; grandchildren, Katherine and Will Anderson and Kayla and Seth Bowden; sister, Dorothy Tippett of Wake Forest and brother, Wally Bowden (Danny) of Florida; sister-in-law, Sue Bowden of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mable Mitchell Bowden and brother, Astor Bowden.
