John Setliff

FREMONT - John Paul Setliff, 17,died Monday. He was a senior at Charles B. Aycock and played on the football team. John Paul was an avid surfer and also liked playing basketball. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Pete Whitford. Funeral, Thursday, 6:00 PM, Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 336 Nahunta Road, Pikeville, followed by visitation. Interment, Friday, 10:00 AM, Elmwood Cemetery, Fremont. Surviving: parents, Paul and Ella Ann Whitford Setliff: sisters, Chrissy Setliff and Rebecca Setliff of the home: maternal grandmother, Teenie Stancill Whitford of Fremont: paternal grandparents, Paul and Katie Setliff of Greenville: uncles and aunts, Tom and Diane Whitford of Wilmington, Vic and Lora Setliff of Greenville, and Marc and Sun Setliff of Greenville: cousins, Christian and Tyler Whitford, Reid, Megan, and Nicholas Setliff. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family is at the home of Teenie Whitford, 207 W. Carolina Street, Fremont.
