Surviving is a son, Justin Hales (fiancé, Cameron) of Smithfield; granddaughter, Lily Marie Hales; parents, Joe E. and Ann Bunn Hales with whom he lived; maternal grandmother, Georgia Raper Bunn Reason of Lucama; sister, Pam Ortiz of Nashville; niece, Maria Ortiz (Milton) of Wilson; nephew, T.J. Hales of Castalia; great-niece, Ava Ortiz; great-nephew, Gabriel Ortiz; numerous aunts and uncles. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr, Wilson, Tuesday, 7 - 8:30 PM.
