Joe Jett

Joseph "Joe" Jett, 75, of Lucama, passed peacefully July 19th, in the presence of his loving family. 

Funeral, Tuesday, July 23, 6:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service followed by visitation.

Joe was retired from Wilson Iron Works where he worked as a machinist for 35 years. He was an avid fisherman and loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by a son, Joseph "JoJo" Bridgers; mother, Kathleen Beamon Kearney; and brothers, Wayne Jett and Ray Kearney.

Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Della Pridgen Jett, daughters, Lisa Jett Pitt of Lucama and Melissa Jones Lynn (Stacy) of Rosewood; special daughters, Kelly (Linwood) and Lily Sharpe of Lucama; grandchildren, Caleb and Sarah Perkins of Lexington, NC, and Thaison Pitt of Lucama. He was also survived by sisters Patty Mercer of Wilson and Ernestine Hardee of Faro; brother, Keith Jett (Jennifer) of Lucama; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to his caregiver, Barbie Aliff, RN, of Hospice of Wilson.
