WILSON - Joseph "Joe" R. Ellis, 77, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
Funeral, Friday, 11 AM, St Timothy's Episcopal Church. Interment,
Maplewood Cemetery.
Joe was retired from the US Post Office. He was very active in his church and many will remember him as Chief Usher for funerals and other church events.
Surviving is his wife, Peggy Pappas Ellis; sons, Dr. Steve Ellis (Bridget) of
Wilson, Dr. Tommy Ellis (Amy) of Greenville; Bob Ellis of Wilson; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Joy Belle Finch and Bobbie Warenda (Ray) of Wilson; brothers, Jimmy Ellis (Ginny Lou) and Johnny Ellis of Wilson.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive,
Thursday, 6 - 8 PM.
