WILSON - Jimmy Thomas Sasser, 64, died Friday, January 22, 2016.
Funeral, Friday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment will be for and at the convenience of the family.
Jimmy was born May 18, 1951, in Wayne County. He was a wonderful husband, son, brother and friend and will be greatly missed and thought of often. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Duke Basketball play on television and listening to Beach music; he served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Surviving is his wife, Tammy Short Sasser; mother, Thelma Sasser Cherry of Wilson; sisters, Yvonne S. Vail (Steve) of Pikeville, and Connie Sasser of Wilson; a niece and three nephews; his loving mother-in-law, Patsy Short; his little buddie, Harpo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Thomas Sasser.
