Jimmy Koenig

James "Jimmy" Franklin Koenig passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 76. He was born on October 10, 1946, in Bertie, North Carolina.

Jimmy is survived by three sons, Gary Koenig and wife Sandy, Ashley Koenig, Jimmy Koenig Jr. and wife, Jessica; granddaughters, Emily Burney, Abbey Ashley, Alicia Ty Twisdale, Shelby Koenig and Cameron Koenig; brother, John Michael Koenig; and sister, Pauline Clay and husband, Clyde.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Elizabeth Koenig.

Jimmy was a Master Barber/Hairstylist for over 50 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, finding joy in fishing, hunting, and camping. His artistic talents showed through in his extraordinary stained-glass creations.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
