Jesse Bunch

Jesse Clarence Bunch, 88, of Wilson, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

A visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 4:00 - 6:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service.

Jesse was born in Barren County, KY and in 1952 his family moved to Columbus, IN. There he graduated from Columbus High School, began his career with Cummins and soon after married Kay Hurley in 1959.

Jesse's career with Cummins took his family to Jacksonville Beach, FL, then to Clarkston, GA, and finally Wilson, NC until his retirement in 1999.

He is survived by his wife Kay Hurley Bunch; daughter, Debbie K. B. Stanford of Wilson; grandchildren, Jesse E. Stanford of Wilson and Michael L. Stanford (Cassie Peters Stanford) of Elm City; brother, Huie Bunch (Lois Mount Bunch) of Louisville, KY.

Mr. Bunch was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Francis and Alice Oakes Bunch; daughter, Janice Leigh Bunch; sisters, Judy Wheatly, Mary Rigsby, and June McMillan; brothers, John Bunch and Richard Bunch; half-sisters, Katie Lloyd, Carrie Conter, and Margaret Kurk; half-brother, Thomas Bunch; half-sisters, Angie Calvert and Pearly Bunch.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels Wilson County, 2101 Tarboro St SW, Suite C, Wilson, NC 27893.
