Jerry Beasley Bulla, 93, of Jacksonville, formerly of Wilson, died Sunday, October 27, 2024.
The funeral will be at Wildwood FWB Church, 4331 Hwy 42 W, Wilson, Wednesday, 10:00 AM, conducted by Rev. Larry Ball and her son, Rev. Tommy Bulla. Burial, Maplewood Cemetery.
Surviving is her daughter, Gail Scott of Lucama; sons, Johnny Bulla (Elaine) of Fremont and Tommy Bulla (Debbie) of Jacksonville; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Bulla, Jr., who died in 1993 and parents Parker and Bessie Price Beasley.
During her career years she was a domestic engineer and worked with the Board of Elections. She was a very active member of Wildwood Free Will Baptist Church and served as Adult Sunday School Treasurer. Jerry was a very active lady and had volunteered with the Red Cross at Wilson Medical Center for 41 years and received their Silver Service Red Cross Volunteer of the Year Award. She volunteered with the Soup Kitchen for eight years and Relay for Life for 10 years and was a very active member of the Eastern Star for 47 years.
Her hobbies included sewing, cooking for her friends, going to yard sales, reading good books, and the Bible. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the most important thing in her life.
