Jerry Arnette

Jerry W. Arnette, 69, of Elm City, died Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Funeral, Friday, December 2, 11:00 AM, at Wilson Memorial Service with Pastor Rusty Russell officiating, followed by visitation. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.

Jerry was born on May 23, 1953, to Chancey Arnette and Clara Smith, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Knowles Arnette; sons, Jonathan Arnette of the home and Michael Arnette and wife, Julia, of Middlesex; granddaughter, Maya Arnette; sisters, Linda Horne (Eddie) and Debbie Ingram (Danny).

Jerry lived his life to serve the Lord and always put God first. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his family unconditionally.  He loved watching NASCAR, enjoying the company of his family and spending time with his granddaughter.

He worked many years in the financial department at Kenly Chevrolet and Kenly Ford, where he ultimately retired. Upon retirement, he volunteered at Longleaf Neuro Medical Treatment Center providing ministry to the residents and spreading the word of God.  He also served God by providing ministry to inmates in the North Carolina prisons.
