STANTONSBURG - Jean Yelverton Vick, 79, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, in her home.
Funeral, Tuesday, 11:00 AM, Stantonsburg Cemetery.
She retired from elementary education in Wilson City Schools with several years at Winstead School and later taught and served in administration at Wilson Community College.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edgar Vick; daughter, Debbie Balint (Steve) of Houston, TX; sons, Ricky Vick (Nancy) of Stantonsburg and Neil Vick (Kim) of Saratoga; granddaughters, Amanda Ross (Mark) of Stantonsburg, Karen Vick-Strehse (Chris) of Raleigh, Heather Stanczyk (Mariusz) of Leland and Rachel Balint Hedges (Robert) of Houston, TX; grandsons, Brandon Vick of Atlanta, GA and Andrew Balint and Greg Balint of Houston, TX; a great-grandchild, Nathan Ross; brother, Billy Ray Yelverton (Nancy) of Seattle, WA; step-sister, Paulette Windley (John) of Nashville.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson, Monday, 7 - 8:30 PM.
