Jean Outland Reed, 74, of Apex, and a native of Fremont, died Monday, May 3, 2010. Funeral, Wednesday, 6:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson, following a time of visiting. Interment will be for and at the convenience of the family. She was born October 26, 1935, to the late Marion Francis and Rena Kirby Outland. Preceding her in death were sisters, Grace and Velma. Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Morris Reed; daughters, Susan Williams (Don) of Apex, Angela Gouge (Tim) of Apex and Mary Tschopp (Jason) of Fuquay-Varina; sons, Ritchie Reed of the home and Ronnie Reed (Nicole) of Pittsboro; grandchildren, Josh Williams, Mandy Williams, Tyler Gouge, Tyson Gouge, Thomas Reed and Michael Reed; sister, Ruth Aycock of Fremont; brother, Ellis Outland of Pikeville. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Cir, Raleigh, NC 27607, to help others and in gratitude for the wonderful service and comfort provided to Jean.
