Jean Fisher

Rebecca Jean Goodrich Fisher, 86, of Wilson, passed away on Saturday, August 10th, 2024.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday August 15, 6:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service followed by visitation.

Born on March 20, 1938 in Scotland Neck, NC, Jean was the daughter of the late Wiley and Gladys Goodrich. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brothers, Bud and Charlie Goodrich and sister, Ann Goodrich Cratt.

She is survived by her son, Greg Hopkins and wife, Toni, of Raleigh; daughter, Michelle Parrish of Wilson; grandchildren, Jamie Abernathy and husband, Scott, of Wilmington, Clayton Hopkins of Raleigh, Lauren Parrish of Wilmington, and Nicholas Parrish of Wilson; great-grandson, Graham Abernathy of Wilmington; brother, Eddie Goodrich and wife, Sue, of Kill Devil Hills; special niece, Kim Edmondson and husband, Wayne, of Williamston as well as many additional nieces and nephews.

The family gives special thanks to Jean’s wonderful caregivers Janice Boone, Mary Melton, and Renee Williams for the love, care and compassion during the time they cared for Jean.
