Jay Sara

Jay Sara, 81, of Wilson, died Monday, December 4, 2023.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, 10:00 am, at Maplewood Cemetery, 400 College St NE, Wilson.

The family will have a memorial service in Charlotte NC in January to celebrate his life.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Mink Sara; daughter, Kim Wojnowich (Marc); son, Gregory Sara (Beryl) and his four granddaughters, Zoe and Taylor Wojnowich and Marnie and Talia Sara.

If you knew Jay, you knew his passion was Jay Royal Clothing that he was a fixture in the Rocky Mount community for 52 years. He also loved his car collection and he was very proud of his children and grandchildren and he considered every customer to be his best friend.

He was one of a kind and did what he loved, worked in his store until the day before he unexpectedly passed.
