WILSON - James A. "Jim" Hill, 80, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
Funeral, Thursday, 7 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation. Interment, Friday, 11 AM, Maplewood Cemetery.
Jim was retired from White's Tire Service and served in the Air Force as crew chief for the original Thunderbird's from inception on May 23, 1953 until being discharged in January 1955 as a Staff Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Pate Hill; daughter, Ginger Lassiter (Jay) of Raleigh; son, Reid Hill (Bobbi) of Wilson and grandchildren, Trey and Vance Lassiter and Christopher Hill (Michelle) and Elizabeth Hill.
Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Ed W. Hill.
