James Bailey

STANTONSBURG - James M. Bailey, 82, died July 27, 2007. He had been in the grocery business, but was better known for his interest in country, bluegrass and gospel music. Many will remember the music of the Bailey Brothers - James and Tom. He was preceded in death his first wife, Geneva; sisters, Rena Chase and Elizabeth Nesbitt; brothers, Herman and Robert in addition to Tom. Funeral, Sunday, 6 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson, followed by a time of sharing and remembering. Masonic grave rites, Monday, 11 AM, Stantonsburg Cemetery. Surviving is his wife, Marie Lane Edwards Bailey; step-daughters, Rhonda Price of Wilson, Shelia McCullen of Saulston and Francine Winstead of Greenville; step-sons, Curtis Edwards of Stantonsburg and Travis Edwards of Wilson; seven step-grandchildren; sister, Doris Bridgers Skinner of Stantonsburg.
