Jack Langley

 Jack Lester Langley, 87, of Lucama, North Carolina, died Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

The visitation will be Friday, 6:00-7:30 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service. The funeral will be Saturday, 11:00 AM at Little Rock Original Free Will Baptist Church, Lucama. Interment with Military Honors, Saturday, 2:00 PM, at Evergreen Memorial Park.

Mr. Langley was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served over 60 years with the Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department in roles of increasing responsibility, including Chairman of the Board of Directors.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Fey of Atlanta, GA and Kimberly Meza of North Prince George, VA; grandsons, Kevin Langley Meza and Rommel Glen Meza; sister, Ann Ripson (Frank) of Bloomington, IL; brother, Jarold Langley (Mary Sue) of Hopewell, VA.

Mr. Langley was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Melda Lucas Langley in July 2023; sisters, Betty Jean Pope and Dorothy Pate; brothers, Bobby, Carold, Harold, J.T., Jerry, Jim, and Leatrice Langley; son-in-law, Rommel Meza.

The family kindly requests no flowers and instead donations may be made to Little Rock OFWB Church, PO Box 340, Lucama, NC 27851 or to Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 626, Lucama, NC 27851.
