Henry Futrell

Charles Henry Futrell, 89, of Wilson, died Friday, May 31, 2024.

Funeral, Tuesday, 10:00 AM, Elmwood Cemetery (Old Section), Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Bass Futrell; parents, Charles and Louise Peedin Futrell of Wilson County.

Henry was an avid golfer having won 12 Senior Golf Championships with the last being at age 83.  He served in the Army and was a graduate of Barton College.

Surviving is his wife, Judy Privette Futrell; son, John T. Futrell (Julie Davis) of Wrightsville Beach; grandson, Jackson T. Futrell; sister, Betty Lou Ball of Wilson; brothers, Gerald Futrell (Nelda) and Brantley Futrell of Jacksonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Childrens Society of North Carolina, 604 Meadow St, Greensboro  NC 27405-6600.
