WILSON - Helen Allen Matthews, 80, died Friday, February 23, 2018.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, 11:00 AM at Wilson Memorial Service. Pastor Don Newell of Hunter Acres Baptist Church in Charlotte will officiate. Visitation will be after service. The family will be at the home of the daughter, Jean, in Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Matthews, son, Donald Matthews, parents, Norman and Dida Barnes Allen, sister, Shirley Collier, brothers, Kenneth and Ray Allen.
She is survived by daughter, Susan Ragan (Donnie) of Charlotte; son, Randy Matthews (Linda) of Rising Sun, MD; daughter, Jean Sinor (David) of Wilson, daughter, Cindy Stewart (David) of Jamestown, SC; sisters, Margie Strickland and Mildred Burton of Wilson, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
