Lucama - Helen Pauline Woodard Benton, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 19, 2012.

Funeral, Sunday, 2 PM, Little Rock Original Free Will Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. De Wayne Eakes and Rev. David Currie. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.

Helen Pauline was born on February 6, 1928, in Lucama to the late Roney and Maggie Matthews Woodard. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth, Bobby and Marvin Woodard.

She will be remembered in our hearts as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Her family was her greatest love and joy. She also enjoyed traveling, working with her flowers, and the beach. Her greatest asset was the love she shared. When she loved you, she loved you with all her heart.

She was a member of Little Rock Original Free Will Baptist, Lucama, for over 45 years. As a member, she served the church as a Sunday School teacher, Woman's Auxiliary member, Joy Club Senior Group and the Bereavement Committee.

Surviving is her husband, William Ray Benton; daughters, Deborah Pittman (Fred) of Seaford, VA and Sandra Currie (Jesse) of Wilson; son, Mark Benton of Lucama; grandchildren, Eric Currie (Donna) and David Currie (Amanda), Samantha Demyanyuk (Illya), Daniel Pittman (Kristi), Mark Hunter Benton and Jeffery Benton (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Austin, Kristin, Evan and Landan Currie, Zachary and Emma Currie, Jacob Pittman, Alla and Alex Demyanyuk; sisters, Larue Craft of Wilson and Carol Campbell of Lucama; special nephew, Michael Woodard (Tara) and family.

Her family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Saturday, 6 - 7:30 PM
