WILSON - Gloria Bass Newbern Parris, 75, died Saturday, July 24, 2010. She retired as a teacher at Greenfield and was mother of the late Keith Newbern. Funeral, Wednesday, 10 AM, First United Methodist Church. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery. Surviving is her husband, Arnold B. Parris; son, Brian Newbern (Suzanne) of Raleigh; step-son, Brad Parris of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Ethan, Corrine, Garin and Connor Newbern; brother, L.A. Bass (Marilyn) of Wilson. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Tuesday, 7:00 - 8:30 PM.
