WILSON - Troy Gilleon Matthews, 83, died Saturday, July 10, 2010. Gilleon was born on August 14, 1926 the youngest of eleven children of Rosell and Martha Lamm Matthews. After attending Lee Woodard High School he spent 25 years as a restaurant owner before starting Handy Andy's Building Supply which he operated until his retirement. He was an accomplished golfer and had an undying interest in politics. Gilleon was a Sudan Shriner and a Mason. He attended Trinity Baptist Church. Funeral, Wednesday, 11:00 AM, Maplewood Cemetery with Masonic Rites. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Pittman Matthews; brothers; Alfred, Chanty Hugh, Ray, Emmett and Ralph "Yank" Matthews; sisters, Daisy Pearson, Hortense Boswell, Dixie Wooten, Mabel Ennis and Narcissus Vega. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Tuesday, 6:30-8 PM.
