Gilbert Bass

Gilbert Brian Bass, 61, of Stantonsburg, died Friday, January 6, 2023.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 14, 2:00 - 4:00 PM, at the home of his mother, 410 S. Main Street, Stantonsburg.

Gilbert loved the beach and watching NASCAR.

He is survived by his son, Marshall Bass of Wilson; grandson, Jaxson Bass; mother, Ellen Eason Bass of Stantonsburg; brother, Brooks Bass (Cindy) of Wilson; sister, Donna Smith of Elm City; fiancée, Allison Collins of the home.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his father, J. Preston Bass, Jr. and brother-in-law, Lee Smith.
