Georgia Pearson Martin, 93, of Wilson, died at home Sunday, February 1, 2015.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be on Thursday, 11 AM, New Hope Baptist Church. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. The visitation will be at the home, Wednesday, 5 - 7 PM.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Earl Martin; parents, Wade Conyers and Bettie Thompson Pearson and brother, Robert H. Pearson.
Mrs. Martin was a teacher for over 30 years and was owner of Circle Bar M Camp from 1964 through 1972.
She is survived by her brother, Wade Pearson (Yvonne) of Wilson; nieces, Debby Futrell, Charlotte Kinney, Betty Putney, Jinnie Adkins, Ann Wooten, Betty Jane Neal and Ellen Davidson; nephews, Bob Pearson, Fred Pearson, Steve Pearson, Lee Martin and Robert Martin, Jr.; great nieces and nephews, Brannan Pearson, Cassie Pearson, Chase Pearson, Georgia Pearson Futrell, Emilee Futrell, Witt Putney, Jackson Kinney, Reid Kinney, Jennifer Sullivan, Chris Wooten, David Brown, Andrew Brown, Margaret Davidson, Ben Davidson, John Britt Martin, Laura Brown and Sarah Brown; sisters-in-law, Peggy Pearson of Wilson and Barbara Martin of Ahoskie; special cousin, Jacksie Ferrell; special caregivers, Jean Lanier, Linda Sheen, Lucille Simmons and Annie Ruffin and special canine companion, "Pete".
