Gene Barrett

Eugene Fredric “Gene” Barrett, 90, of Wilson, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020.

A service will be held for and at the convenience of the family.

Gene was retired from Hackney Body Company and was a Marine Corps Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hales Barrett; daughters, Debbie Skinner, Jo Anne Johnson and Tonya Barrett all of Wilson and Kim Hinton (Chuck) of Apex; sons, Mike Barrett of Lucama and Al Gardner of Wilson; brothers, Rosco “Ron” French (Janis) of West Allis, WI and Bradley Barrett (Jean) of NY, sisters, Arlene Elander (Dick) of Syracuse, NY, Bonney Tamkins (Dave) of Florida and Charlene Maxian (Jerry) of NY; eight grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity FWB Church, 2200 Downing St SW, Wilson, NC 27893.
