WILSON - Frances Hardee Smith, 67, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Funeral, Saturday, 2 PM, Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum, Hwy 117 S, Goldsboro. She was a native of Johnston County, graduated from Princeton High School and Crumpler's Business School. Frances worked in the Johnston County School System, banking field and finally retiring from State Correctional Services. Surviving is her husband, Carlton Smith; son, Scott Stanley (Kim) of Four Oaks; grandchild, Matthew Stanley; step-daughter, Dana Sceeny (Martin) of Aurora, OH; step-son, Wes Smith (Connie) of Raleigh; step-grandchildren, Emily Smith and Daniel Register; sister, Mary Lou Thompson of Princeton; brother, Larry Hardee (Annie Laura) of Princeton; her companion and sweet dog, Charlie. Memorials are suggested to Tee's Chapel Church, 6439 Brogden Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Friday, 7 - 8 PM.
