Frances Phillips

PINEVILLE - Frances Speight Phillips, age 87, our loving Mom, and grandmama, “GG” and aunt, went to her heavenly home November 21, 2018.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held in Wilson on Wednesday, November 28th, at Wilson Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.

Frances was the most loving person and the foundation of our family. She loved to cook and have her family together.  She will be dearly missed.

Born July 19, 1931 in Wilson to Joseph C. Speight and Mildred Dameron Speight, she was the youngest daughter of ten children.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, John C. Phillips of Pineville; daughters, Carol Currence and Gail Scott both of Charlotte; sons, Greg Phillips of Marvin and Charles Phillips of Indian Trail. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Mark Speight of Wilson and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred D. Speight, and by a daughter, Gwen Ballance.
