Frances Parris

Frances Carrie Parris, 89, of Wilson, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Funeral, Sunday, 3:00 PM, at Watery Branch FWB Church, Stantonsburg, with visitation one hour before the service.  Burial will follow in the Stantonsburg Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Milam (Don) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Diane Harmon (Brian) of Wilson; grandchildren, Carrie Speight, Cristen Konewko (Jonathan), Tyler Whitley (Leeanne) and Amber Whitley; great-grandchildren, Blaine and Bennett Konewko, Meredyth and Allyson Winstead, and Hunter Whitley; sister, Betty Yelverton (George) of Stantonsburg.

Ms. Parris retired from Wilson Medical Center as a surgical coordinator. After retirement, Ms. Parris continued her rewarding career as a caregiver for over 20 years. She encompassed every true sense of the role of caregiver to those who were in need. It was a rewarding calling that she was devoted to until the last five years of her life.

Ms. Parris’s greatest joy was her family and friends. The loves of her life were her two daughters, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren who affectionally called her Granny Franny. Her closeness and love for her siblings was unwavering. We rejoice in the comfort of knowing she is reunited with her dear family and her Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Lena Mae Price Parris; sister, Reba Parris; brothers, J.D, Charles, Robert, Joe, Doug, and Edgar Parris.
