Frances Weeks Harrell, 86, of Wilson, died Thursday, December 24, 2020.
A graveside service for the family and friends will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Monday, December 28, 2020, 2:00 PM. Mrs. Harrell will lie in state at Wilson Memorial Service, Monday, 10:00 - 12:30, for those that wish to visit.
A longtime resident of Wilson County, Frances passed peacefully in her home surrounded by love and care of her family and family friend Sherby. The family would also like to thank Robin, Hilda and Gail for giving their time to care for Frances.
Frances was preceded in death by mother Annie Sexton Weeks Parker; father, Alton Gordon “Tebo” Weeks; step-father, J.D. Parker; husband, Edward Lee Harrell; daughters, Donna Rae Mullins and Brenda Mullins Radford; son-in-law, Steve L. Radford; son, Jeffrey Gordon Mullins; daughter-in-law, Sandra Dew Mullins and good friend, Robert Henry Bradshaw of Stantonsburg.
She worked most of her life in the textile industry, working for various companies in Wilson, Wayne and Durham counties such as Wrangler/VF Corporation, Craftex and Carolina Casuals. She had a love for her dogs (most recently her furry companion Hoosier), and an unwavering fondness for country music - specifically Elvis Presley, Conway Twitty and Alan Jackson.
Frances is survived by daughter Nancy Harrell Stocks (Wally) of Wilson, five grandchildren, Steve Mullins (Lisa) of Bailey, Michael ‘Tony’ Radford (Crystal) of Apex, Roger Radford (Becky) of Apex, Wendy Mullins Pone (Mandingo) of Wilson and Stacey Radford Miller (Chad) of Cullowhee; ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wilson County Humane Society, PO Box 7064, Wilson, NC 27895.
