Florence Skinner

Florence Walston Skinner, 92, of Wilson, died Saturday, September 7, 2019.

Funeral, Tuesday, 2:00 PM, at Connect Church, 4865 Nash St NW, Wilson.  Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.  The visitation will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Monday, 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Skinner; daughter, Carolyn Skinner; grandchildren, Karen, Christy and Spencer Skinner; sisters, Margaret Pittman and Jeanette Driver: brothers, Wallace Walston and Dewey Walston.

She worked at the former Woodard-Herring Hospital for 11 years and then retired from Wilson Medical Center after 22 years.

She is survived by her sons, Eddie Skinner (Shari) of Fountain and Rev. Doug Skinner (Ginny) of Walstonburg; grandchildren, Jonathan (Cheryl) Skinner, Emily Skinner, and Scott Skinner; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Abigail and Luke Skinner; sisters, Loretta Davis of Wilson and Barbara Brockmier of Ballwin, MO; brother, Charles Walston of Black Creek.
