SIMS - Esther Lee Bunn Williams, 87, died Friday, June 7, 2013.
Funeral, Monday, 6:30 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Burial, Tuesday, 11 AM, Bailey Cemetery.
She was born in Wilson County on June 10, 1925, to the late Charlie and Myrtie Parker Bunn. She married Woodrow H. Williams who died in 1987.
Esther enjoyed visiting with her family, watching the grandchildren mature and growing plants. In her later years she was an employee of Williams Plant Farm where she worked daily and greeted many customers. She always had beautiful plants and containers growing around her home. Her favorite flower was the pink mandevilla. For many years, she has had the containers on the front porch with pink flowers. She had two green thumbs. Esther also served as a best friend and confidant to her family and friends.
Surviving are her three children, H. C. Williams and his wife, Bettie Joyner, of Sims; daughters, Helen Williams Crane and her husband, George Riley Crane, Jr, of Raleigh and Connie Williams Holland and husband, John E. Holland of Bailey; grandchildren, James Marion Thompson and wife, Jillian Griego, of Raleigh, Azure Dee Holland and fiancé, Benjamin Whitley, of Raleigh, John Michael Williams, and wife, Allison Jane Moore, of Bailey, David Bryan Williams and wife, Jessica Jones, of Bailey, Christopher Sterling Holland of Bailey; a great-grandchild, Patrick Thomas Williams; beloved cat, Pretty Girl.
Flowers are welcome as these were one of her favorite things in life. Memorials are suggested to Bailey Baptist Church, 6646 Deans St, Bailey, NC 27807.
She will be missed by her family and many friends.
