WILSON - Elton Leroy High, 73, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012.
Funeral, Thursday, 11 AM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, with Masonic Rites.
He retired from Wilson County Schools Bus Transportation and later from Wilson Medical Center. He served in the military and a highlight of his life was riding with the Shriners Horse Patrol. His father, George Elton High, and fiancée, Mary Whitley, preceded him in death.
Surviving is his daughter, Susan Dawn High of Arlington, VA; mother, Margery Pope High of Wilson; brother, Tommy High of Wilson; niece, Trisha Bundy (Glen) of Wilson; nephew, Thomas High (Erika) of Raleigh; great-nieces, Carmen and Diamond Bundy; great-nephews, Colby Bundy and Thomas High.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Wednesday, 6:30 - 8 PM, and other times at 1002 Rollingwood Drive, NW.
