Edwin M. "Pete" Fulghum, died Thursday, October 31, 2013.

Pete was born in Danville, VA, on July 30, 1920. He served as an observer with the 419th Night Fighter Squadron of the 13th Air Corps over the Pacific in World War II. Later, he was a buyer and agent for the former Imperial Tobacco Company, as well as part-owner of the former Vann's, Incorporated. He was an avid tennis player and was known by many as "Mr. Fix-It".
He is survived by his wife, Anne Covington Fulghum, daughter, Ann Gwyn Crandley (Jack) of Virginia Beach, VA, son, Dr. Edwin M. Fulghum, Jr. (Jan) of Statesville, NC; grandchildren, Dr. Ruth Walters (Mike), Rebecca Fulghum, Elizabeth Fulghum, John Crandley (Kate), Dr. Edwin Crandley (Mary), great-grandchildren, John Crandley, III, and Edwin Crandley, Jr.
He was preceded in death by grandsons, Edwin M. Fulghum, III and
Joseph Crandley.
