Doris Flora
January 22, 1926 — February 5, 2013
WILSON - Doris Page Flora, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, peacefully at home with her family at her side.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 11 a.m., at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, N., Wilson. The Rev. Wayne King will officiate. Visitation, immediatley after the service and graveside will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
She was the daughter of the late Braxton and Daisy Page.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Page Gill of Wilson.
She was a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
She married Tom Flora on Dec. 21, 1946, and they enjoyed more than 66 years together.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a son, Stan Flora (Barbara) of Wilson; a daughter, Connie Thompson of Wilmington; a sister, Marcelle Brothers of Easley, S.C.; a brother, Kenneth L. Page (Shirley) of Chocowinity; grandchildren, Alex Flora (Allison) of Raleigh, and Jennifer Wade (Brian) of Kinston, and Dane Thompson of Wilmington.
