Doris Andrews

Doris Evans Andrews, 87, of Wilson, died Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Funeral, Friday, 10:00 AM at Evans Family Cemetery, 5608 Scott Church Rd., Lucama.

Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all who met her. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wilson and attended the church services at Wilson Assisted Living.

She was the secretary for the President of Atlantic Christian College, and then went on to do other secretarial jobs. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and spending time with her cousins. She cherished all the moments spent with her special friends. Her witty charm stayed with her until the end of her days.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Hilda Tew (Kevin) of Wilson; son, Lee Andrews (Becky) of Farmville; grandchildren, Anna Whitt (Spencer), Justin Tew, Jennifer Andrews and Brandon Andrews; special friend, Jimmie Price of Wilson.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph and Ada Narron Evans, and her sister, Bernice Evans.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wilson Assisted Living and 3HC Hospice for all their care and patience.
