Donna Ruth Sauls, 70, of Wilson passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019.
A Memorial Service will be Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Memorial Garden at First Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be after the service.
Donna graduated from Ralph L. Fike High School and UNC-Greensboro. After college graduation, she taught English at Greenfield School and Greensboro Day School. While at Greensboro Day School, she coached the girls tennis team to the school’s first State Championship.
Donna was the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department Tennis Director for many years and was the Tournament Director for both State, Regional and National Tournaments.
Upon returning to Wilson, Donna worked for the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Right Away Division and retired in 2016 after 15 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon G. Sauls and Mary Frances Sauls.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Broadhurst (Duran) of Wilson; brother, Gordon G. Sauls, Jr. (Dale) of Wilson; nieces, Dillon Sauls Bass (Justin) of Knightdale and Patricia Hawkins of Greensboro; nephew, Tripp Sauls (Betsy) of Rocky Mount; and great-nieces, Grayson Bass and Morgan Bass.
