Don Lamm

WILSON - Donald Houston Lamm, 75, died Friday December 23, 2011 in his home with family.
A Service of Worship will be Tuesday, 11 AM at Winstead United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mr. Lamm was born in Wilson and was the son of the late Jesse Lee Lamm and Della May Lamm. He was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers and wife, Janie Sawyer Lamm. He was a graduate of Atlantic Christian College and was retired from the North Carolina State Highway Department after 32 years of service. In 1984 he was the recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine.
He is survived by his children, Pam Mercer Flowers and husband, Forest, of Wilson, Trey Mercer and wife, Bonnie, of Rocky Mount, Jayne Mercer Glenn and husband, Jerry, of Utopia, TX, and Hope Lamm Conway and husband, Stephen, of Wilmington; grandchildren, Jason Nixon, Meagan Eatmon Wooten and husband, Chris, Della Conway and Parson Conway; great-granddaughter Olivia Wooten; sister-in-law, Margaret Lamm of Beaumont, CA; and special family friend Sue Ann Blair.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Monday, 5:30 - 7:30 PM.
