Dickie Williams

Richard ‘Dickie” Williams, 81, of Lucama, died Monday, December 9, 2024. 

Funeral, Sunday, December 15, 2:00 PM, Little Rock OFWB Church, followed by a time of visiting and sharing.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Carolyn Peede Williams; daughter, Shelia W. Terdik (Chris) of Oak Island; son, Brian Williams of Wilson; grandchildren, Rob, Brooke, Taylor and Crystal; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Campbell (Sheldon) of Wilson; step-daughter, Tami Barbee; step-son, Mark Brewer; step-grandchildren, Chris and Harley Brewer, Trevor and Cole Williamson; 3 step-great-grandchildren 

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Scott and his sister, Judy Gott.

Mr. Williams grew up in the Methodist Children’s Home in Raleigh. It was there that he formed many special friendships that turned into his extended family. He continued to nurture and cherish these lifelong friendships. 

He was a Meat Market manager for A&P grocery store for many years.

Over the past 28 years, he and Carolyn made many memories traveling all over the US, whether it be by RV, cruise ship, or time in their beloved little town Salter Path, North Carolina. 

He loved his family and extended family through the children’s home more than life. This was shown through his dedication and lifelong support of them all. His keen sense of humor, notable laugh, and beautiful blue eyes will be missed by all!
