Dennis Bailey

KENLY - Dennis H. Bailey, 64, of the Buckhorn community, died Friday, September 18, 2015.

Funeral, Monday, 6:00 PM, Buckhorn United Methodist Church, followed by at time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Tuesday, 10 AM, Buckhorn Cemetery.

Dennis was a dedicated man, as he deeply loved and cared for his wife of 39 years, and their family. Music was a big part of his life, as he shared the gospel through his beautiful tenor voice in the Buckhorn UMC choir and The Cornerstones quartet group. Dennis taught for 37 years in the Johnston County School system and area community college. His soft spoken nature and quick wit will be greatly missed by his loved ones and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Jenkins Bailey; daughter, Anna Bailey and fiancé, Trevor Richards; sons, Ben Bailey of the home and John Bailey and wife, Genny of Kenly; granddaughters, Ruby and Mollie Bailey; sister, Elaine Deans and husband, Dennis, of Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in-law, Carol Bailey of Occoquan, VA; father and mother-in-law, James and Lorene Jenkins of Shenandoah, VA.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Turner Bailey; brother, Walter Bailey and step-mother, Esta Bailey.
