Deborah Webb “Debbie” Wheeler, 70, of Wilson, died Friday, November 15, 2024, in her home.
Funeral, Wednesday, November 20, 2:00 PM, West Nash United Methodist Church. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Tuesday, 6:00 – 7:30, and other times at the home of her sister, Billie Craft, 3209 Quinn Drive.
Debbie left this earthly life to go to her heavenly home. She was a beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many. She had a giving heart and a compassionate, loving soul. Most of all, she loved the Lord and was a devoted Christian.
She was a volunteer at Meals on Wheels, Maggie Society, and gave generously to many other organizations that were dear to her heart. Family was so important to her and she was always there if Aunt Debbie was needed.
Debbie was very active; she loved the outdoors be it working in her yard or taking long walks. She had great compassion for animals, and as we all know, her dogs lived a grand life. She loved music, dancing, and enjoyed laughing with friends and family. She was a self-proclaimed “gym rat” spending many hours working out at her favorite place, the Y.
Debbie was a beautiful person inside and out. Her larger-than-life personality and love for her family and friends will continue in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her sisters, Billie Craft and George Ann Winstead (Mark); nieces, Ashley Rhodes (Dusty), Markie Winstead (Richie); nephews, William Craft (Julie), Alex Winstead (Daisy); great-nephews Colton Ferris and Will Rhodes; great-niece, Keaton Tyner; special friend, Micky Barnes; step-son, Drew Wheeler (Heather); brother-in-law, Duane Wheeler (Pam); sister-in-law, Terri Tkachuk (Jilian) and fur baby Edie.
She was preceded in death by husband Andrew Thomas Wheeler, in March 2021; parents, William "Bill" and Doris Rose Webb of Wilson County; stepfather, Ronald Hearne; brother-in-law, Tom Craft; grandparents, George and Myrtle Webb, George and Kate Rose.
