David Barnes

David Lee Barnes, 61, of Eureka, died Monday, April 3, 2023.

Funeral, Thursday, 10:00 AM, at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont followed by visitation.

David was an avid golfer and was often accompanied by his canine companion, Hopper.  He worked many years as a lineman in utility construction.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Barnes (Santonio James) of Pikeville; son, Keith Barnes of Pikeville; grandchildren, Adreanna, Santonio, Jr. and Adrian James; brother, Jeffrey Barnes (Lisa) of Goldsboro; mother of his children, Cindy Rose Barnes of Pikeville.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Christine Windham Barnes.
