Daphne Smith

Daphne Boswell Smith, 91, of Wilson, NC, died Saturday, July 6, 2024. 

Funeral services were held July 10th at Wilson Memorial Service with Rev. Eric Vernelson. Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Daphne retired from the Eastern NC School for the Deaf after 27 years of service.

Daphne was preceded in death by her parents, Geneva and Stephen C. Boswell; three brothers, Allen, Cleveland and Jay Boswell; two sisters, Marie Faulk and Geraldine Narron; and nephews, Tim Boswell and Michael Boswell.

Daphne is survived by her two brothers, Caney Boswell of Clayton, NC and Gray Boswell of Bath, NC; two daughters, Ann Smith Barnes (Glenn) of Wilson, NC and Esther Smith Sanchez of Garner, NC; two sons, William Sandy Smith of Philadelphia, PA and Billy Boswell Smith of Kaoshiung, Taiwan; four granddaughters, Tiffany Smith, Morgan Sanchez (Andrew), Melanie Sanchez and Stephanie Smith; five grandsons, Allen Parris (Anna), Jeff Parris (Chad), Brandon Smith, Daniel Smith (Sue) and Bryan Smith; one great grandson, Max Parris; and multiple nieces and nephews.
