Danny Wilson Beamon, 75, of Stantonsburg, died Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Funeral, Wilson Memorial Service, Wilson, Thursday, 3:00 PM, followed by a time of visiting and sharing.
After graduating from Mount Olive Junior College, he married his high school sweetheart, Brenda Gardner on June 22, 1969. He went for further education to Atlantic Christian College (Barton) graduating in 1971.
With 30 years of service, he retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company to enjoy his family and fishing with his wife, children and teaching the granddaughters how to fish. He was a volunteer EMT with Stantonsburg Rescue Squad and Fire Department for 10 years.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years (their 55th anniversary would have been June 22), Brenda Gardner Beamon; son, Mike Beamon (Michelle) of Kenly; daughter, Gloria Roberts (Art) of Sims; granddaughters, Caitie and Abbie Beamon of Kenly, Autumn Thorne (Noah) of Middlesex, Hanna Roberts of Sims; great-granddaughter, Everleigh Beamon; sister, Scarlet Beamon of Stantonsburg; brother, Jimmy Beamon (Lynn) of Stantonsburg; several nieces and nephews. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Beasley and Jean Woodard Beamon; grandparents, Wiley Thomas and Kathleen Webb Beamon, Walter and Minnie Whitley Woodard.
From the family, a very special thank you to Dr. Keith Lerro and staff of Regional Medical Oncology; the support and compassion given by the hospice nurses, Kayla Curatolo, Amber Brinson, Alicia Williams; caregivers, Mary Frieson and Beatric Lane’s weekly phone calls, Chaplin Derek Bossolono plus the staff with Gentiva Hospice and sitter, Teresa Perkins. A special thank you to all the friends that phoned, prayed and visited through his time of illness.
