Dale Williams

Dale Thomas Williams, age 73, of Wilson NC, passed away on February 12th, 2025.

Born on June 1st, 1951, in Scranton, PA, Dale lived a life full of passion and dedication.

Dale had an immense love for music beginning when he received his first drum as a child. This passion continued into college when he joined the Mu Beta Psi music fraternity, and played in the NC State Marching, Concert, and Pipes and Drums bands. He performed with many friends and family, and shared his talents in his Methodist church band. His rhythm and spirit brought joy to many. Dale was also a proud Master Mason of the Freemasons Montgomery Lodge, contributing to his community with the same commitment he brought to his music. His rhythm wasn't limited to his drums; it echoed in the way he lived—generously caring for his siblings and friends in their youth, and embracing his children's friends as his own. Dale's beat was one of kindness and connection.

Faith played a significant role in Dale's life. As an active member of the Methodist church, he found solace and purpose in his faith, which guided his generous and caring nature. Dale had fond memories of playing church hymns with his late mother.

Dale is survived by his children, son Ben and daughter Elisa, brothers Tom and Jeff, his grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas, mother Anita, sister Donna, and nephew Brian.

There will be no immediate memorial services, but a celebration of life will be planned at a later time to honor Dale's memory and legacy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local music outreach program to continue Dale's passion for music and community.
