Dale Crabtree

Dale Crabtree, 80, of Elm City, died Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Funeral, Thursday, 11:00 AM, at Peace Church followed by visitation.

Dale was a family man and took great pride in providing for his wife, children, and extended family.  He loved playing golf for many years and loved getting into his woodworking shop and creating yard décor.  Church was a big part of his life.  He loved the Lord and was a true servant of God!  He enjoyed singing the good ole’ church hymns and he was truly a bass singer.   We are heartbroken, for he is truly missed.  But we know he is not suffering any longer and we will be together again.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Braswell Crabtree; daughter, Cathy C. Howell of Wilson; son, Donald Dale Crabtree (Rita) of Wilson; granddaughters, Emily P. Brown and Erin Starling.

Dale was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Pauline Stith Davis and James Davis; father, Ira Crabtree; brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Jackie Crabtree; son-in-law, James P. Howell, Jr..
