ELM CITY - Coy Lucas, 89, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
Funeral, Saturday, 11 AM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.
Coy loved his Lord and was devoted to his church, was a wonderful, kind and loving husband to his wife and to his many great friends.
His family includes his wife, Daphine Wilson Lucas; son Eddie Lucas (Linda) of Elm City; granddaughters, Cheryl Horner (Ron) of Walstonburg and Lynn Oakley of Elm City; grandson, Mike Lucas (Patricia) of Macclesfield; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Drew, Amber, Hunter, Nash, Max, Logan and Lucas; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Eva Snipes of Wilson and Mary Edwards of Bath; nieces, Carlene Johnson, Wanda Snipes and Myra Jane Daniels; nephews, Graylin Lucas (Karen) and Steve Lucas (Mae); Daphine's step-son, Billy Weaver (Ann) and their son, Eddie Weaver (Beth) and their children, Tyler and Garrett Weaver whom they called Pa Coy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Peace Church, 2838 Tilghman Rd, Wilson, NC 27896.
